For eight years, I served on the board of directors of a local nonprofit pit bull rescue where I managed the marketing and communications of the organization to fundraise, build awareness and elevate the brand. I lead a team of volunteers to plan and execute events, website content, social media and special fundraising campaigns like Give to the Max Day. I also lead the development of programs like our free spay/neuter clinics and educational workshops for local youth. I’m still a part time foster mom and full time advocate for animal welfare.
I'm a member of HeARTs Speak, a global network of photographers, artists, writers, designers, and advocates working to save homeless animals. I use my artistic abilities to create design and strategies, as well as photography, to help homeless animals.
A few other things; I trained as a classical ballerina most of my childhood, I love off-road mountain biking, and I played the crash cymbals and xylophone in marching band in high school.
